We have arrived! |
After spending the night at a rest area we woke the next morning and set off towards Austin, MN. We found a McD’s for breakfast and blogging with WiFi. Soon we were at Hormel Foods and the Spam Museum.

Some Warcup family members are big Monty Python followers - SPAMALOT |
We spent a couple of hours exploring and learning about SPAM! This fun and interactive museum was well worth the visit and an added bonus - absolutely FREE! Spam is well known around the world - and has been active in both war and peacekeeping as well as humanitarian roles since it’s start on July 5, 1936. It is served in numerous restaurants around the globe including Yorkshire, England where I was born - who knew?

Hormel Food make many other things besides SPAM |
We arrived in Forest City, Iowa at 5:47 but check in time ended at 5:00 so we found a nice little city park with a campground less than a minute from the Rally Grounds and set up for the night. We were glad that we had not arrived the week before as we learned that it had been underwater then. We saw the proof of that with foot high rings around the base of all the trees there.
